Samsung has recently announced its Exynos 9810 and the Galaxy Note 8 has already been available worldwide. So, it’s not long that Samsung launches its Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+. Word goes that it’s not long that Samsung will launch both of its phones in 2018 so as to hype the people about them. Here is a roundup of the news, specs, features, price and release date.
Display and Visuals
The infinity Display might be coming back with the announcement of the Galaxy S9 and S9+. As we know that the S8 and S8+ featured the same design upgrade from the Samsung S7 and S7+. Following the tragedy of Note7, Samsung wanted to show something new having a sleek impressive design and of course no explosive batteries. The upcoming phone will have the same glass and aluminum casing so that it can support wireless charging. Samsung may try to do something new to improve the design to make it further attractive to the Eye.
Like all the Samsung high-end phones this too will have a Super AMOLED screen to feature the best display for a mobile phone. Size of both the new models will be kept same as this year’s models. This will be 5.8 inches for the small size and 6.2 for the larger size. Samsung could increase the size of its newer models but this would ruin the image of Note 9 when it would be launched later in 2018.
Launching one of its most advanced phones, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ would feature the most powerful internal parts no doubt. Next, to the Exynos 9810, the US versions would contain a Snapdragon 845. Both these chips are manufactured on the same 10nm FineFET architecture. These chips have been used in a lot of devices released throughout this year so you can expect a lot of performance from it. As its newest phone Samsung will be working to make the phone more efficient. Rumors suggest that Samsung will be making a new print out the circuit board that will be less stressful and utilizes less battery juice. Although Samsung has yet not named it neither revealed it will reveal it soon. The updated board will allow the components to be well connected together freeing a lot of space which Samsung can use to install a bigger battery for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+.
There will be an expandable storage up to 128 Gb and an internal memory of 64Gb which will have a running rate of UFS 2.1 seconds or higher if in case Samsung announces something much faster than this. There will be other models comprising of Dual Sim and Higher Internal storage but in selective regions. A 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM will be present in each Model. The Home button of the screen will be in control of the software but there will be a fingerprint reader at the back of the phone. An in-screen fingerprint reader technology might not be available at that time but you may expect it in Note9. Samsung will be working on improving the Facial recognition feature as it is working on the 3D sensing solution.
Samsung’s flagship camera is really fast and has been known to capture the perfect clicks and selfies when you need it to. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be featuring super fast cameras featuring Ultra-fast shutter speeds. Just as the Note8 these phones will also feature Dual-cameras. Thus you will be able to capture your images at 2x optical zoom with the same Quality.
These Cameras will be having there own “Portrait mode” where you blur the background as taken by high-end cameras or DSLRs. Samsung will be manufacturing and designing its own sensors. These models will be able to shoot 1000 Fps in slow motion video recording. If this doesn’t make you want this phone, then both the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will have 4K video recording at 60FPS making them the first Android-running Phones to have this feature. The rear Dual camera could be a 12MP with an aperture of f/1.7. we will know as more leaks come out.The Front camera will be heaven for selfie lovers as it is 8MP and will be designed as to capture more light.
Both the phones will have their gamut of wireless connectivity upgrades. These include LTE modem that will support download speeds of 1.2Gbps thanks to the Exynos 9810 and Snapdragon 845. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ will feature the headphone jack, a USB-C port and get IP68 water-resistance certification. Bluetooth 5.0 will be featured on both upcoming phones, and so will stuff like 802.11ac Wi-Fi chip, GPS and others. Wireless charging will also be included in these models.
Samsung could upgrade its phones so as to introduce a larger battery life. The older models had a 3,000mAh – 3,500mAh battery. The newer phones could have a 3,200mAh – 3,700mAh accordingly. This is speculated information so Samsung may change its designs.
The price of both the sets are unknown right now but we can’t expect them to be cheap because of the new tech introduced in them. The Samsung Galaxy S9 could cost about 749$ and the Samsung S9+ will be around 849$ having the same specifications except for the larger screen and the larger display.
The release dates are yet not specified. It’s a wonder why Samsung revealed its Exynos 9810 this early. Some details are being fetched at the current. The Main question here is that, Will you purchase the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ when it is officially released?
